Student Handbooks

All students in grades 2 through 12 receive an agenda/planner. The handbooks are printed in the planners for easy reference. It is important to make yourself familiar with the policies in the handbook.

Keys To Success…(at VAHS!)

On top of the higher standards at Vail Academy, we don’t want you to worry about little things like technology so here are some quick links to help you out.

Powerschool

Powerschool is your best friend! If you do not have a powerschool login and password, or just don’t understand how to use powerschool, ANY of your teachers would LOVE to help you! We use powerschool to check our grades, find out if we have missing assignments, or reading comments from teachers.

Moodle

Moodle is the medium that your teachers use to communicate with you when you are not in class. Think of Moodle as an extension of your teacher’s classroom and anything you say or do in a Moodle class should be professional in nature and limited to academic language. If you do not know your Moodle login, contact your teacher immediately.

The only way that you should be communicating with your teachers is by using your vailstudents.org account. Every student has one and it is how you log into your chrome books with this account.
Remember…when emailing a teacher, always use professional language, state your question clearly, and keep your communications specific to the topic. ¬†Although teachers are extremely busy, they are here to help!
